To enable scheduled SCP backups in ClearPass, you need to configure a File Backup Server and then enable automatic backups,
specifying the SCP server as the destination. This involves navigating to Administration > External Servers > File Backup Servers,
adding a new server entry with SCP as the protocol and the necessary credentials,
and then configuring the cluster-wide backup settings to utilize this server

1. Configure the File Backup Server:

Navigate to the File Backup Server configuration: Go to Administration > External Servers > File Backup Servers.
Add a new server: Click the "Add" link to open the Add File Backup Server page.
Specify the server details:
- Host: Enter the hostname or IP address of the SCP server.
- Description: Provide a descriptive name for the server.
- Protocol: Select "SCP".
- Port: The default port (22) is usually correct, but verify if it's different.
- Username: Enter the username for the SCP account.
- Password: Enter the password for the SCP account.
- Timeout: Specify the timeout value in seconds (default is 30).
- Location: Enter the directory path on the SCP server where backups should be stored (e.g., /home/user/backups).
- ClearPass Servers: Select the ClearPass servers that should use this backup server (usually the publisher or all servers in the cluster).
- save config

2. Configure Automatic Backups:

Navigate to Cluster-Wide Parameters: Go to Administration > Server Manager > Server Configuration > Cluster-Wide Parameters.

Go to the Database tab: Locate the "Database" tab within the Cluster-Wide Parameters page.
Configure Auto Backup: Find the "Auto Backup Configuration" section and ensure it's enabled. If not, select "Config" or "Config|Extensions" to enable it.
Save the changes: Click "Save" to apply the cluster-wide backup settings.

3. Verification:
After the scheduled backup time, check the specified directory on the SCP server to verify that the backup files are present.
You can also check the ClearPass logs for any errors related to the backup process.
