THUNDERBIRD: EMAILS WITH DATE/TIME IN FILENAME

PROBLEM:
When saving emails, filenames should be unique -
with date + time first, then the subject.

SOLUTION:
1. Install the add-on "ImportExportTools NG"
(Tools -> Add-ons -> search -> install)

2. Set the filename pattern:
Tools -> ImportExportTools NG -> Settings
-> tab "Filenames"

${YYYY}${MM}${DD}_${hh}${mm}${ss}_${subject}

Example: 20260629_143022_Invoice_No_4711.eml

3. Do NOT export via Ctrl+S (ignores this setting!)
Instead, use the add-on itself:

Right-click email(s) or folder
-> ImportExportTools NG -> Export -> As EML
