Red Hat 9 / Rocky Linux - how to change ntp server

default setting is to have chrony installed

you can check with: rpm -qa |grep chrony

check file /etc/chrony.conf
in may case this was the ntp setting:
pool 2.rocky.pool.ntp.org iburst

comment out this line and change to your preferred ntp server
>> replace pool line with your ntp server
